A change to the metric changes who wins and who loses. Properties heated by electricity — including heat pumps and modern electric systems — have historically scored poorly on a cost-driven measure. If that is your stock, a reformed certificate may work in your favour. In the meantime a valid EPC is still a valid EPC for ten years, so there is no reason to delay a certificate you need now for a marketing or letting deadline.
